This image depicts the essential components of the temple alignment process.
Shown in the image at the top is the Mayan symbol for the galactic center,
what the Mayans call the Hunab Ku. Flanking either side of the Hunab Ku,
are images evoking the sacred calendar matrix, the Tzolkin.
The "wedge" of light and dark squares below the Hunab Ku represent
thirteen lunation cycles: one lunar year. Each of us is born within one
of twenty lunar years possible within this frame of reference. Our temple-of-birth
is determined by the seventh moon of the lunar year in which we were born.
At the position of the seventh moon in our illustration, is the hieroglyph
MANIK (pronunciation: man eek') signifying the Temple
of Fingers and Toes. Qualities associated with Manik include: closure,
completion, gateway, opening, beauty, dance, mudras,
divination, acting "as if", spiritual tools, priest/priestess.
